There are these what they call "jack-o-lantern" around commonly displayed on the props, hung on trees or used as baskets to collect candies and treats. These pumpkins would have these triangle holes carved forming a candle lit monstrous face from the inside. The top portion is cut. From an Irish folktale and British tradition in 17th century, the lantern was used to scare the wayward spirits away. People from Ireland later brought this festivity in America where they found pumpkins in abundance.
So are we ready for some orange and black stuff this Halloween?
